Well, Russ said to me, how about doing a Soul Stew blog for the website. So here we go…

Let’s take you right back to me joining the station. This would have been April 2016… I had been working on another on-line ‘oldies’ station that had just pulled the plug on all their shows and consequently closed. I guess it was within a week that an email from Hit45s arrived in my inbox, saying they were interested in taking the Soul Stew show.

So we started on a Sunday afternoon playing all those great classic soul songs that you love.

It was decided that a Saturday evening would be a better slot for the show and we now include more dance and soul from the 80s & 90s than we did previously since our relaunch earlier this year.

From the emails and messages I get, you love my Soul Stew Twofers and Motown Chartbusters so this is something I won’t change. I must say it’s fantastic to hear your suggestions too for Twofer 1 & 2 so keep them coming in on

If you miss any of the show, you can use our ‘Catch-Up’ service via the website and this will stop me from sending out those teacher 100 lines notices to those that turn up late!!!! (You know who you are… love you really)

Just a quick reminder that with Christmas not being that far away now, get those orders in for All Oldies Radio goodies or even my Soul Stew mug  which would make lovely presents for your family and friends.

So, I’ll be with you for another Super Saturday Soul Stew Party from 7pm with all your favourite chooonage, you just be ready for a good old boogie on down.

Much love from your Captain Stewster,

Paul Gray
